UI Carver College of Medicine To Hold DVIP Fundraiser March 10

WHAT:
The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine's second annual "Press Out Domestic Violence" event to support the Johnson County Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP).

WHEN:
5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 10

WHERE:
Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF) atrium

UI medical students, faculty and staff will compete in a variety of weightlifting events to raise funds and awareness for youth services and programming at DVIP.

UI President David Skorton, M.D., and Jean Robillard, M.D., dean of the Carver College of Medicine, are among those scheduled to participate in the event.

Last year's event involved more than 250 medical students, medical residents, faculty and staff and raised $1,600, enough to allow DVIP to fund youth programs for one year.
