Nonprofit Management Academy Offers Grant Writing Seminar
The Nonprofit Management Academy announces the 8th monthly seminar in its year-long series. "Grant Writing" will be presented on Wednesday and Thursday, January 21 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day, at the UI Community Credit Union at 825 Mormon Trek in Iowa City.
This seminar will focus on ways to identify and attract resources to nonprofit agencies through grant writing. Offered via the Iowa Communications Network (ICN), this course is designed to assist participants through experiential learning. Each participant will go through the process of identifying funding sources, examining criteria, contacting and networking with funding agencies, and effectively designing and completing competitive applications and proposals.
The trainer for the session is Tim Borich, associate dean of the College of Design and associate professor of community and regional planning at Iowa State University.
The fee for the seminar is $40, and CEU credits are available.
The Nonprofit Management Academy is a joint project sponsored by the Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) and the Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at The University of Iowa, Iowa State University Extension, Kirkwood Community College, the Iowa Women's Foundation and the UI Community Credit Union.
