UI College Of Public Health To Host Information Fairs
Students and other interested individuals are invited to explore the field of public health at the University of Iowa College of Public Health Information Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in Iowa City, and Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Des Moines. The events are free and open to the public.
The Iowa City fair will be will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the South Room of the Iowa Memorial Union on the UI campus. The Des Moines event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. in the main lobby of the Wallace Building, 900 E. Grand Ave. Parking will be available in the ramp located to the west of the Wallace Building.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in public health and talk to current students and representatives from graduate degree programs in public health. Information on the following programs will be available: Master of Public Health; Master of Health Administration; Master of Science programs in biostatistics, community and behavioral health, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and occupational and environmental health; and Ph.D. programs in addiction studies, biostatistics, community and behavioral health, epidemiology, health management and policy, industrial hygiene, occupational and environmental health, and statistical genetics. Information on the Certificate in Public Health also will be available.
