Poster Session Entries Being Accepted For Research Week 2004
Entries are being accepted for the scientific poster sessions held during Research Week 2004: Mapping the Road to Scientific Discovery, March 30-April 1 at the University of Iowa.
This annual event, sponsored by the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, the UI College of Public Health and the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center, will include public lectures as well as the poster sessions highlighting research by UI faculty and staff, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and medical residents.
The poster session for graduate students will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30. For postdoctoral fellows and residents, the poster session will run from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 31. The faculty and staff poster session will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 1. The sessions will be held in the UI Medical Education and Research Facility (MERF).
This year, participants can choose whether to compete for monetary awards. Awards of $250 will be given each day of the sessions for the best posters.
The entry deadline for the competitive poster sessions is Feb. 20. The entry deadline for the non-competitive sessions is March 8.
