Feb. 26 Program To Focus On Low-Fat Cooking

Area residents are invited to hear University of Iowa Health Care experts discuss low-fat cooking at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center, 1220 First Ave. in Coralville.

Want to know which oils are good and which are not, how to enliven the flavor in your meals and which figures really are important on food labels? "Wow! That's Low-Fat Cooking? Part 2" will cover trans-fatty acids and how to read food labels with dietician Denise Schiller from UI Heart Care's CHAMPS, a heart disease prevention and rehabilitation program.

Part of the "Health For Your Lifetime" series presented by UI Health Care, this program is free and open to the community. Pre-registration is encouraged.
