Town Hall Meeting Set For UI Law Dean Candidate Jones
A public town hall meeting with University of Iowa College of Law dean candidate and UI alumna Carolyn Jones will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 in the Levitt Auditorium of the Boyd Law Building.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Jones is professor of law at the University of Connecticut Law School and is currently a visiting professor at Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She earned a B.A. with highest distinction and a J.D. with high honors, both from the University of Iowa. While at the UI College of Law, she was a staff member of the Iowa Law Review. She is also a former associate dean for academic affairs at UConn.
Jones is the sixth of seven candidates who are being interviewed to succeed N. William Hines, who is stepping down as dean in June. In mid-February, the search committee will forward the names of three finalists to UI President David Skorton, who will make the final selection.
