Career Center Sponsors Summer Job and Internship Fair Feb. 10
Students who want to spend their summer getting practical experience before embarking full time on their careers can attend the University of Iowa Summer Job and Internship Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Sponsored by the University of Iowa Career Center, the fair will take place in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
About 90 local, regional and national companies are expected to attend the fair, including businesses and non-profit organizations in education, human services and recreation. Students can speak with employers about possible summer jobs or internship possibilities. A list of employers can be found at www.careers.uiowa.edu under "student information."
Students of all majors are welcome to attend the fair and visit with company representatives. Students should "dress to impress" and bring copies of their resumes. Many employers will be accepting applications and interviewing candidates at the fair.
The Career Center will hold workshops on Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. in 213 Phillips Hall and Feb. 5 at 3:30 p.m. in 315 Phillips Hall to give students tips on how to prepare for the Summer Job and Internship Fair.
