Hastings Native Graduates From Sonography Program
A Hastings native will graduate next week from the Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Program at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Michele Thoesen will complete her training in diagnostic cardiac sonography on Aug. 27. The six-month training program is approved by the Joint Review Committee in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
UI Hospitals and Clinics first offered diagnostic cardiac sonography training in 1999. Diagnostic cardiac sonographers are skilled professionals who use equipment that produces high frequency sound waves to create diagnostic images of the heart that help health care professionals diagnose patients with disease.
