Byock Will Read Fiction At Museum Of Art Sept. 25
Lila Byock, a second-year student at the Iowa Writers' Workshop, will read from her fiction at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 in the University of Iowa Museum of Art (UIMA).
Byock received her bachelor's degree in English from the University of Montana in 2000. Prior to attending the workshop, she worked as a magazine fact-checker and as a researcher for a small non-profit organization.
Originally from Missoula, Mont., Byock has lived in New York City and the San Francisco Bay area, but Iowa is her first experience in the Midwest.
The UIMA, located on North Riverside Drive in Iowa City, is open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Admission is free. Public metered parking is available in UI parking lots west and north of the museum.
