Graduate Marketing Association Hosts Business Forum Sept. 12
Top business leaders from the retail, marketing research, and consumer packaged goods industries will come to Iowa City on Friday, Sept. 12, for the Third Annual Graduate Marketing Association (GMA) Forum.
The event will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the John Pappajohn Business Building (PBB) and the Iowa Memorial Union. It is sponsored by the marketing department at the Henry B. Tippie School of Management (recently ranked the 29th best MBA program in the country by U.S. News & World Report) and the GMA, an MBA student organization at Tippie.
The event brings representatives from top marketing businesses to the university in order to develop relationships and give students the opportunity to network with successful business leaders, said Steve Rogers, GMA's vice president of recruiting and placement.
Representatives from various companies will conduct student breakout sessions in Room W401 PBB. After these morning sessions, students are invited to the Richey Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union for lunch and a keynote address by Douglas R. Pierce, senior vice president, Global Business, VNU.
