Make-A-Wish Children To Attend Iowa Vs. Buffalo Football Game Sept. 6

A group of approximately 20 eastern Iowa children in the Make-A-Wish program will have the chance to enjoy an exciting University of Iowa football weekend on Saturday, Sept. 6 as part of the University of Iowa Alumni Association's (UIAA) S.T.A.T Ambassadors' Game Day event at the Iowa vs. Buffalo football game.

The day will begin at approximately 8:30 a.m. with a tailgate at the UI Field House, North Gym. The children and their families will have the chance to meet Herky and members of the cheerleading squad. After the game, members of the UI football team and coaching staff will visit with the Make-A-Wish children and sign autographs. They will also enjoy good food provided by Hy-Vee, play games provided by Aero Rental and receive prizes and gifts compliments of area businesses.

The UIAA S.T.A.T Ambassadors and University of Iowa Sports Marketing, which work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to provide children a chance to see an Iowa football game and to meet coaches and players, organize the Gameday.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to providing activities for terminally and severely ill children and their families.
