Winston Churchill Is Topic Of Fall's First Iowa Bibliophiles

Winston S. Churchill expert and Iowa City judge Douglas S. Russell will speak at the fall's first meeting of the Iowa Bibliophiles Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in the second floor conference room in the University of Iowa Main Library.

Admission is free and open to the public. The Iowa Bibliophiles' major objective is to provide a forum in which to share and gather experience and information about books and book collecting. The group is for anyone with a serious interest in books, their creation, preservation and collecting.

Russell, a district court judge in Iowa's sixth judicial district, is a long-time collector of Churchill's work. He is also the author of a monograph on Churchill's orders, decorations and medals and is completing a military biography of Churchill to be published by Brassey's (London).
