Thieves Market Holiday Art Sale At IMU Nov. 22-23

The Holiday Thieves Market, the classic art sale at the University of Iowa, is Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22-23, in the Main Lounge of the Iowa Memorial Union, where artisans from across the country will display for sale their handmade sculptures, paintings, jewelry, photography and other artworks.

Admission is free and open to the public.

The Thieves Market is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The UI Fine Arts Council, which is sponsoring the art sale, also sponsors student arts grants given to students undertaking original works.

More than 100 artists are expected to present their reasonably priced works, which will also include photographs, and woodcarvings. For more information about the Thieves Market, contact the Fine Arts Council at 319-335-3393 or by email at finearts-council@uiowa.edu.
