Local Artist Marcia Wegman To Speak At Triangle Club

On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Triangle Faculty Club of the University of Iowa will have its third presentation of the academic year, in conjunction with Sunday brunch at the University Athletic Club. The presentation will feature Marcia Wegman, who will be speaking about "The Journey of an Artist."

In 2002, Wegman won a competition in the magazine, Pastel Artists International, and was selected as one of 10 finalists. Wegman was proprietor of the shop "Things & Things & Things" in Iowa City. She crafts distinctive jewelry, paper sculptures and paintings, and designs prints for many non-profit causes close to her heart.

The presentation is an opportunity to view slides of Marcia's journey as an artist and hear about her focus for the coming year.

Triangle Club membership is open to UI faculty, administrators and Iowa City/Coralville/Johnson County community members. For more information, contact Dr. Axel Ruprecht, Secretary-Treasurer at 319-335-7341.
