UI Students To Discuss Role Of NGOs At Nov. 10 International Mondays

University of Iowa students Matthew Steele and Yasir Ahmed will speak on the important role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) in today's international climate at the next International Mondays lecture on Monday, Nov. 10, from noon to 1 p.m. in the International Center Lounge. Their talk is entitled, "NGOX: Building Connections for a Super-national Approach to Globalization," and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

In their speech, Steele and Ahmed will describe the steps that NGOs are taking to create relationships between skilled individuals and the organizations that need them. The International Exchange for Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOX) is a non-profit service organization working to promote awareness of global issues and increase effectiveness in NGOs around the world by facilitating international exchanges of culture and professional wisdom.
