Ford Named Interim Director Of UI Career Center
Wendy Ford has been named interim executive director of the University of Iowa Career Center, which coordinates career advising, internship and placement services for students of the Henry B. Tippie College of Business and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
She will replace former center Executive Director Jerry Paschal, who has taken a position at Tulane University. Ford will begin her duties in the Career Center May 27; a search for the permanent position will begin in August.
Ford has worked in the Tippie School of Management since April 2001 as associate director of marketing for MBA Career Services, overseeing MBA corporate relations and candidate referrals, developing and managing relationships with national and international employers, and assisting MBA students through the placement process.
She recently completed an Executive MBA from the Tippie School and also has a bachelor's degree in art from the UI. Prior to the UI, she was executive director of the Iowa City/Coralville Convention & Visitors Bureau.
