Alumni Golf School Trip To Hold Preview March 13
The University of Iowa Alumni Association's Iowa Voyagers travel program will offer a preview of its upcoming Alumni Golf School Trip to Florida from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at Golfzilla, 498 First Ave., Coralville.
Tom Davis, former UI men's basketball coach, and Diane Thomason, former women's golf coach, will attend the preview and will accompany travelers on the trip May 24-29 to the Ben Sutton Golf School in Sun City Center, Fla. The preview, free and open to the public, will include refreshments and door prizes.
During the trip, students will receive five days of instruction under actual playing conditions and situations. Instruction takes place in small groups with emphasis on the short game. Time is spent on course management, sound shot decisions, and rules interpretation. Each student's swing will be diagnosed with high-tech equipment to determine the best approach for learning.
Tour packages include accommodations, all meals, daily cocktail reception, green fees, and cart fees for unlimited golf on the 27-hole golf course adjacent to the school.
