Women's Center Offers Group Facilitation Training

The Women's Resource & Action Center at the University of Iowa is offering group facilitation training this summer for individuals interested in leading support and/or discussion groups at the Center.

The center's groups are designed to offer opportunities for participants to explore, change, learn and heal. Volunteer facilitators are needed to lead groups such as Heart's Desire, Divorce Support, Coming Out, Gender Puzzle, Sister to Sister, Eating Disorders and many others.

Participants must attend all five sessions of the summer training. The complete schedule is as follows:

Monday, June 16: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 18: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Monday, June 23: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 26: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 28: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To register for the training, call the Center at 319-335-1486. Space is limited to 10 participants, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up early. Information is also available at http://www.uiowa.edu/~wrac.
