B100 99.7 Radiothon To Benefit Children's Miracle Network
The B100 99.7 FM radiothon to support the Children's Miracle Network will air from 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, until noon on Saturday, Aug. 16, at NorthPark Mall in Davenport.
Proceeds of the event will benefit patients of Children's Hospital of Iowa at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. One hundred percent of all donations to the radiothon remain in the local region to benefit critically ill and injured children. More than 100,000 children receive care at Children's Hospital of Iowa and its statewide network of outreach clinics each year, including thousands from eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
Last year, B100 99.7 FM raised $60,429 during the 100-hour event. B100 99.7 personalities Missi Sullivan and Jeff James will serve as co-hosts for the radiothon.
"My family has been directly affected by the death of a child, so I am very passionate about raising money for Children's Miracle Network," Sullivan said. "These kids are very important to us at B100, and the more we can do for them the better."
"I am very impressed by the generosity of our listeners," added co-host James. "They obviously care deeply about children and understand how important it is to support Children's Hospital of Iowa."
Sullivan and James will share the stories of former and current patients of Children's Hospital of Iowa, and the dedicated physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who care for them.
