UI Education Career Specialists Pen 3rd Edition Of Resume Book

Barron's has published the third edition of 101 Grade A Resumes For Teachers, written by Rebecca Anthony and Gerald Roe in the University of Iowa College of Education's placement office.

Anthony and Roe, director and associate director, respectively, of educational placement, say the book is intended as a resource for educators in classrooms, as well as for those in administration and special service positions.

"Although it is not a magic key, a good resume can open doors that would otherwise remain closed to you," they write in an afterword to the book.

Chapters in the book include "What Is a Resume?," "What Goes Into a Resume?," "What Gets Left Out?" "Electronic Resumes" and "Effective Cover Letters," as well as hundreds of sample resumes for beginning and experienced teachers, administrators and supervisors and educators working in international settings.

Anthony and Roe have written six previous books, not counting the 1994 and 1998 editions of 101 Grade A Resumes For Teachers, including The Curriculum Vitae Handbook and Over 40 and Looking for Work, as well as specialized training packets for career professionals.

More information about the book can be found at Barron's online at http://www.barronseduc.com/0764119877.html.
