Ploeger To Speak At Finding God at Iowa Forum

Joanna S. Ploeger, an assistant professor in the UI department of communication studies, will be the featured speaker at the Finding God at Iowa Lunch Forum on Friday, Feb. 28 at noon in River Room #1 of the Iowa Memorial Union.

The forum is free and open to the public. This forum is also being held in place of a forum luncheon in March.

Ploeger received her Ph.D. in speech communication from the University of Georgia and specializes in the study of the rhetoric of science and technology. Her current research combines both rhetorical analysis and interviewing to explore the rhetoric of the National Laboratory System. She currently teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses in persuasion, rhetorical theory and rhetoric of science and technology.

Now in its sixth year, the Finding God at Iowa Lunch Forum is a program of the Geneva Campus Ministry at the University of Iowa. It hopes to create a healthy environment for the life of the spirit and life of the mind so that members of the UI community may become more consciously aware of the role Judeo-Christian message can play in their studies as well as their teaching and research.
