Health Fair Scheduled For March 5 At Field House

Health Fair 2003 will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, on the Main Deck of the University of Iowa Field House.

A free event at the UI since 1993, the fair gives campus and community members the opportunity to gain information on a variety of current health-related issues. This year's theme is "Health - You've Got Questions...We've Got Answers." The event is sponsored by Health Iowa/Student Health Service and the UI Department of Health and Sport Studies.

The fair will feature booths from Health Iowa, Student Health Service, UI Health Care and other campus and community agencies. Body fat testing, fitness assessments, cholesterol testing, headache assessments and other health-related screenings will be available. The Shiatsu Clinic and School in Iowa City will provide massage therapy, and a representative from the Food and Drug Administration will conduct a hand-washing sanitation demonstration at the event, as well. A blood drive will take place during the entire fair.

For additional information, contact Amy Fletcher or Katie Budke at Health Iowa at (319) 335-8388.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all UI sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Health Iowa in advance at (319) 335-8213.
