Decorah Workshop To Help Disabled Persons Finance Home Renovation

An upcoming workshop in Decorah will help individuals and organizations find financing to renovate a home to make it more accessible to disabled persons.

The Iowa Project for Assistive Technology (IPAT) and the UI College of Law's Legal Clinic are sponsoring the "Home Access Modification and Barrier Removal Workshop." The two-hour workshop will be Monday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. in the Decorah Public Library. Admission is free and open to the public.

The workshop and discussion will be conducted by staff members from the UI College of Law's Legal Clinic. They will provide information on how people and organizations can find money from state, federal and other sources to help retrofit a home to make it easier for persons with mobility, sight, hearing, cognitive or other difficulties to live in it.

For more information, call the UI Legal Clinic at 319-335-9023.
