Former Andersen Executive To Speak At Tippie College Of Business
Edward Maier, CEO of the Maier Consulting Group LLC and former senior partner at Arthur Andersen, will speak Friday, Dec. 5, at the Tippie College of Business about the consulting industry and corporate ethics.
The speech is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Room S401 of the Pappajohn Business Building. It is the fifth presentation in the Knapp Leadership Speaker Series.
Maier began at Arthur Andersen in 1968. As managing partner for Andersen's Central Region Assurance and Business Advisory Practice, he oversaw 12 offices whose business totaled approximately $360 million in revenue. Before leaving Andersen in 2002, he rose to the position of senior partner at Andersen's World Wide Assurance and Business Advisory Practice, where he managed several projects related to audit committees.
In 2002, he formed Maier Consulting Group LLC, which provides leadership, advisory, coaching and problem solving assistance to senior-level executives, directors and trustees in for-profit and not-for-profit businesses to help them improve their own personal productivity and efficiency.
Recent activities of the Maier Consulting Group LLC, among many others, include work on two projects to develop disclosure documentation for a $17 billion global health care manufacturer and work providing Sarbanes-Oxley advisory services to a $350 million distribution company.
