UI Health Care Launches E-Mail Health Newsletter
University of Iowa Health Care is now sending health information directly to consumers online in its newly launched "health-e-newsletter."
The initial issue April 19 covered topics such as irritable bowel syndrome, seasonal allergies and alternative medicine. Faculty and staff of one of the nation's leading academic medical centers serve as resources for the newsletter.

Carver College of Medicine. "It places health care information directly in the hands of patients and families and empowers them to become even more involved in enhancing and maintaining their health."
University of Iowa Health Care will publish "health-e-newsletter" on a regular basis. Preliminary plans call for issuing the newsletter monthly. The Web site address for the "health-e-newsletter" is http://www.uihealthcare.com/news/healthe/index.html. People with access to the Internet can subscribe to the electronic publication online.
