April 30 Symposium Offers Faculty Tenure, Promotion Advice
On Wednesday, April 30 the University of Iowa Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the UI Faculty Senate will sponsor a symposium on promotion and tenure titled "Starting Early and What You Can Do to Help Yourself: Suggestions for Both Tenure-Track and Clinical-Track Faculty."
The event will be held in W401 of the Pappajohn Business Building. The informal reception starts at 6:30 p.m., and the program runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
Panel members include UI Provost Jon S. Whitmore; UI Associate Provost Lee Anna Clark; David C. Baldus, law professor and UI AAUP member; Lon Moeller, UI ombudsperson; Mark Mills, UI senior associate counsel; and UI Faculty Senate President Jeffrey Cox.
