Campus computing login access to be changed
The way faculty, staff and students login to various University of Iowa
computing services may change over the next few months.
UI Information Technology Services (ITS) in partnership with other Campus
IT Providers plans to reduce the number of different IDs and passwords users
are required to use. It will also make it easier for campus computing providers
to create new services that are secure and easy to use. The keys to these
services are the Hawk ID and Hawk ID Password, which many people already use.
Services that will change in the next few months include the following:
- Finance University Services (FUS) Application Portal (HR self-service
- Instructional Technology Center (ITC) access
- Dial-in remote access
- ITS (Blue) E-mail service
- Iowa Student Information System (ISIS)
- Wireless networking.
As each service prepares to change direct e-mails and other notices will
be sent to users affected by the changes.
For information about the Hawk ID go to http://hawkid.uiowa.edu.
Or contact the ITS Help Desk at 384-HELP (4357) or via e-mail at email@example.com.
Users may also contact their collegiate or local IT support person.
