UI hosts college fair for area high school students and their parents
All area high school juniors and their parents are invited to learn more
about their college options at the Iowa City College Fair from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, March 26 at the University of Iowa, Iowa Memorial Union. The college
fair will be hosted by the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling.
The program is free and open to the public.
Representatives from over 70 colleges, universities, and military branches
will be in attendance. The purpose of the program is to give high school students
and their parents an opportunity to discuss admission requirements, housing,
financial aid, scholarships, internships and specific majors.
An ACT professional will conduct test prep sessions that will include information
about the components of the ACT, general test-taking strategies, ways to register,
test dates and deadlines, and what to expect on the day of the test. In addition
to test taking tips they will provide information about other ACT resources
available to help students do their best on the test.
