Media Advisory:

MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Iowa Gov. Thomas Vilsack and Owen Newlin, president of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, will join officials from the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust and the University of Iowa at a news conference at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The news conference will be held in the foyer of the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust, 202 Iowa Avenue, Muscatine, Iowa. During the news conference, representatives of the Carver Trust and the UI will make an important announcement and will answer questions from the media.

Media may park in the hooded meters along Iowa Avenue. A mult-box will be provided.

Directions To The Carver Trust Building

From Interstate 80:

1. From Hwy-38 exit, 271 south, toward Wilton/Muscatine.

2. In Muscatine, at the intersection of Hwy-38 and Hwy-61, continue straight on Hwy-61 Business District.

3. After passing the Mississippi River Bridge, travel in the right-hand lane and continue straight as the road becomes one-way. (East Second Street).

4. The Carver Trust is on the right-hand side of Second Street at Iowa Avenue. The Trust parking lot may be accessed from Second Street, immediately behind the Carver Trust building.

From Quad Cities:

1. Follow signs to I-280 West, toward Des Moines.

2. Take the Hwy-61/West River Drive exit, exit number 6, toward Muscatine.

3. Turn left on Hwy-61.

4. In Muscatine at the intersection of Hwy-61 and Hwy-38, turn left (south) following Hwy-61 Business District.

5. After passing the Mississippi River Bridge, travel in the right-hand lane and continue straight as the road becomes one-way. (East Second Street).

6. The Carver Trust is on the right-hand side of Second Street at Iowa Avenue. The Trust parking lot may be accessed from Second Street, immediately behind the Carver Trust building.
