Golf event to benefit Children's Miracle Network and other local children's
The 6th Annual Concrete Classic Golf Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday,
June 30, at the Airport National Golf Course in Cedar Rapids.
Proceeds from the four-person best-shot event will benefit the Children's
Miracle Network (CMN), Make-A-Wish, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and
other local children's charities. The $50 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf,
flight prizes, drawings and lunch. Teams should be registered by no later
than 7:30 a.m. prior to the shotgun start at 8 a.m. The course is located
2.5 miles west of Interstate 380 on Wright Brothers Blvd.

children treated at 170 children's hospitals throughout the United States
and Canada. Its hallmark is that 100 percent of locally generated donations

$229 million in 2001 alone. The network also includes 75 corporate sponsors,

The Children's Hospital of Iowa at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics
in Iowa City is the state's longest-serving children's hospital. More than
100,000 children receive care at the Children's Hospital of Iowa and its statewide
