CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF IOWA TO HOST PATRIOTIC 'HAPPY HATS'
Patients and staff members of the Children's Hospital of Iowa will participate
in a special event honoring our nation's birth beginning at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday,
July 3, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Representatives of Happy Hats for Kids, a national nonprofit organization
based in California, will distribute red, white and blue, felt stovepipe hats
to pediatric patients, their families and the physicians and nurses who care
The Children's Hospital of Iowa at UI Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City
is the state's longest-serving children's hospital. More than 100,000 children
receive care at the Children's Hospital of Iowa and its statewide network
of outreach clinics each year.
The event will take place in the Beauty Shop on the 4th level of the General
