Law, Health Policy & Disability Center Conducts Audio Conference
The Law, Health Policy & Disability Center at
the University of Iowa College of Law is conducting a national audio conference
on recent U.S. Supreme Court interpretations of the Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA) beginning at noon Thursday, Jan. 31. Leading ADA experts Peter Blanck,
UI law professor, and Bobby Silverstein will discuss the implications of the
Court's ADA decisions and will be joined by colleagues including UI law professor
Leonard Sandler, and ADA lawyer Mark Zaiger,
Participants in the audio conference series include
people from 18 states representing federal, state, and local agencies. The
discussions will bring together national experts and front-line implementers
to share research findings, best practice strategies, and policy developments
and analysis.
The Center's 2002 "Leadership Challenges on Employment
Policy Audio Conference Series" will cover a range of employment policies
and practice challenges that impact Americans with disabilities nationwide.
