OLYMPIC CELEBRATION FOR CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF IOWA PATIENTS
Patients in the Children's Hospital of Iowa at University of Iowa Hospitals
and Clinics will hold their special Winter Olympic Games celebration at 1:30
p.m. Tuesday, Feb.12 in the Activities Therapy gym on the first level of the
John Pappajohn Pavilion.
The children will be joined by Lowell Lyngaas, a UI Health Care patient who
served as an Olympic torchbearer recently. Lyngaas, 47, of Postville, Iowa,
has received treatment in the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center at the UI.
Lyngaas and the young patients will carry their own Olympic torches in parade
formation and then participate in a variety of games with Winter Olympic themes.
All participants will receive medals.
