Public input to new Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids sought

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Legal Clinic at the University of Iowa College of Law and the Johnson County Coalition for Persons with Disabilities tonight (Monday, Nov. 19) are sponsoring a public meeting to unveil the blueprints and ballpark policies for the new Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids. The meeting is from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Johnson County Senior Center, 328 S. Linn Street, Iowa City. Attendees should use the Washington Street entrance.

Attendees will be able to review the blueprints, ask questions, make suggestions to stadium designer Heinlein Schrock, and meet with personnel from the Cedar Rapids Kernels minor league baseball team.

As a public use facility, the stadium must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, which requires that such public use spaces be accessible persons with disabilities.
