Prospective students invited to UI Graduate and Professional School Fair Nov. 15

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Current undergraduates and others interested in pursuing advanced education at the University of Iowa can learn about the university's more than 100 graduate and professional degree programs at the 2001 Graduate and Professional School Fair on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 1-5 p.m. in the Richey Ballroom of the Iowa Memorial Union.

Representatives from more than 45 departments and programs will be on hand to greet fair-goers personally, and faculty and staff from the UI Graduate College will be available to provide information about programs that are unable to send a representative. Departments and programs planning to send a representative to the fair include American studies, art and art history, biological sciences, chemistry, counseling, dentistry, education, engineering, English, finance, genetics, German, history, journalism and mass communication, law, library and information science, marketing, mathematics, medicine, music, nursing, pharmacy, philosophy, physics and astronomy, political science, public health, religion, social work, sociology, statistics and actuarial sciences, urban and regional planning, women's studies, and more.

"This is a great opportunity for personal interaction with faculty, staff, and current students who know the programs inside and out and can answer any type of question," said John Keller, interim dean of the Graduate College. "Whether you know exactly what program you're looking for or whether you're still investigating several options, you'll find the information you're looking for at the fair."
