UI invites participants for driving behavior study
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Interested persons are invited
to participate in a driving behavior study in the UI College of Engineering
Cognitive Systems Laboratory.
Participants must have a valid driver's license obtained
in the United States and be between the ages of 18 and 35. The study will
last approximately two hours a day for a period of two days and will involve
completing a questionnaire and operating a driving simulator. Those persons
who complete the entire experiment may earn up to $45.
The goal of the study is to understand driver preferences
for advanced in-vehicle information systems, according to Emily Wiese of the
Cognitive Systems Lab and principal investigator of the study.
