UI invites participants for driving behavior study

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Interested persons are invited to participate in a driving behavior study in the UI College of Engineering Cognitive Systems Laboratory.

Participants must have a valid driver's license obtained in the United States and be between the ages of 18 and 35. The study will last approximately two hours a day for a period of two days and will involve completing a questionnaire and operating a driving simulator. Those persons who complete the entire experiment may earn up to $45.

The goal of the study is to understand driver preferences for advanced in-vehicle information systems, according to Emily Wiese of the Cognitive Systems Lab and principal investigator of the study.

For more information, call Wiese at the Cognitive Systems Lab, 384-0514 or email at: eewiese@engineering.uiowa.edu.
