Free health care for children at Clear Creek Amana Health Clinic
IOWA CITY, Iowa Beginning in August, the Clear Creek Amana Health
Clinic in Tiffin will offer free health care for children. All children with
an appointment will receive a complete physical exam, an evaluation of their
immunization status and information about resources available to parents and
children in their communities.
The clinic, located in Grace United Methodist Church, was started in March
2000 by the Neighborhood Centers, the Johnson County Department of Public
Health and the Iowa City Family Planning Clinic. These three agencies will
be joined by the Iowa City Free Medical Clinic, which is providing a pediatrician,
Andrea Sherbondy, M.D., to work at the Clear Creek Amana Health Clinic.
Sherbondy received her training in pediatrics at University of Iowa Hospitals
and Clinics, specializing in developmental disabilities. Sherbondy looks forward
to providing a wide range of services for children.
The Clear Creek Amana Health Clinic is open from 1 to 6 p.m. on the first
and third Thursday of every month. To make an appointment at the Clear Creek
Amana Health Clinic, call (319) 335-8541 or toll free (888) 884-8946.
