Gantz is honored by national medical society
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Bruce J. Gantz, M.D., professor and head of the University
of Iowa department of otolaryngology, was honored Sept. 24 at the opening
ceremony of the annual meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology--Head
and Neck Surgery Foundation.
Gantz was presented the Distinguished Service Award, established by the
Academys board of directors to recognize continued service in the diagnosis
and treatment of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures
of the head and neck.
A 1974 graduate of the UI College of Medicine, Gantz completed his residency
in otolaryngology--head and neck surgery in 1980 and finished his fellowship
in neurotology in 1982.
