What headache treatment options are available to you?
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa Health Care experts Lynne Geweke,
M.D., and David Young, Ph.D., LMFT, will present "Today's Options for
Treating Headaches" Monday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. at the Clarion Conference
Center, Coralville.
Participants will get a chance to see a biofeedback demonstration as the
equipment monitors and relays information on physiological processes associated
with the stress response.
The presentation will include discussion of:
-- The various types of headaches, including migraines;
-- The latest approaches in diagnosing and treating headaches;
-- Advances being made in headache research;
-- The use of biofeedback as a tool to treat migraines.
A question-and-answer session will follow.
Geweke is the director of the headache clinic in the department of neurology
at UI Hospitals and Clinics.
Young is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a biofeedback therapist
in Counseling and Health Promotion Services with UI Health Care.
