'Motherless Daughters' support group offered at Women's Center

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- "Motherless Daughters," a support group designed for women who have lost their mothers, will be offered on Monday evenings, June 5 to July 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
at the Women's Resource and Action Center at 130 N. Madison St.

"The purpose of the group is to allow women to give voice to their concerns and needs as they adjust to life without a mother," says group facilitator Jacqueline Croat. "Women are encouraged to build support for each other, to discuss ways to handle common concerns and find creative ways to continue along a healing path."

Rebuilding after the loss of a mother is challenging work. "Motherless Daughters" offers support and fosters community for women in that process.
