Next workshop in the 'Women and Money' series this Thursday

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Women's Resource & Action Center and the Iowa Women's Foundation will present "Simplifying, Spending, Saving and Sharing for Satisfaction," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 in Meeting Room A of the Iowa City Public Library.

Jonna Higgins-Freese, Environmental Outreach Coordinator at Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center in Hiawatha, will be the presenter.

This workshop, the next in the "Women and Money" series, is designed for women interested in simplifying their lifestyles and spending habits. Higgins-Freese will use a combination of story, art and discussion to explore "how much is enough" and help participants contemplate alternatives to spending and consumption.

The series is made possible in part by support from the Johnson County Area Women's Network and the Altrusa Club of Iowa City.

Pre-registration is required. Women of all income levels are encouraged to attend. To register, please call the Iowa Women's Foundation at 319/337-4222 or e-mail iwf@avalon.net.
