Fulton, Vermeer CEO to be guests at Geneva Lecture Series

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Alice Fulton, biochemistry professor and director of the University of Iowa Honors Program, will address UI faculty and staff at "Finding God at Iowa," a lunch forum, beginning at noon Friday, Feb. 4 at the Iowa Memorial Union River Room, Room 1.

The lunch forum, one of two Feb. 4 lecture series events, is a program of the Geneva Lecture Series, a program of the Geneva Campus Ministry at the UI.

Fulton, author of various books in her field, is a past vestry member and catechist at Trinity Episcopal Church, Iowa City.

Mary Vermeer Andringa, president and chief operating officer of Vermeer Manufacturing, Pella, will deliver an address on business from a Christian perspective. The lecture, "Business Through the Eyes of Faith," will be at 2 p.m. at W401 MidAmerican Energy Colloquium Room, Henry B. Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa.

Vermeer appears at the UI as part of the Geneva Lecture Series, a program of the Geneva Campus Ministry at the UI.

Jason Chen, director, Geneva Campus Ministry, a recognized UI student organization, says the forum is designed to complement the lecture series that brings speakers to the UI to speak on a wide range of issues from a Christian perspective.

The Geneva Lecture Series is co-sponsored by the UI Lecture Committee and the Henry B. Tippie College of Business.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Geneva Lecture Series at 319-341-0007.
