ENTREPRENEUR ASSOCIATION MEETING MARCH 1 -- The newly formed University of Iowa Entrepreneur Association will meet 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 in the Iowa Room of the Memorial Union.

Ed Moldt, director and founder of the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, will speak at this kickoff meeting of the association. Moldt is an experienced entrepreneur who is currently working on new websites for entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the club is to provide a forum to facilitate the development of entrepreneurial innovation and creativity through the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge across all academic disciplines at the UI. The association will be closely affiliated with the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center.

"We intend to bring established entrepreneurs to share experiences and educate students. We also intend to create relationships between local entrepreneurs and the students," said Lisa Heirigs, a UI student who helped organize the group.

The association was started by a group of business and engineering students who are either pursuing entrepreneurial ventures or are looking to sharpen their skills. The club is open to all UI students.
