Faculty, staff diversity forum is planned Feb. 8
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Committee
on Diversity invites faculty and staff to participate in a forum designed
to increase the range of discussion about diversity issues and related topics
from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Old Capitol, Senate Chamber.
The forum, "Enhancing Faculty and Staff Diversity:
Challenges and Opportunities," is open to all UI employees.
Bob Foldesi, associate director, Human Resources,
will moderate a faculty and staff discussion panel. The panelists will include
Phyllis Chang, associate professor, department of surgery, UI Hospitals and
Clinics; Diane Finnerty, coordinator, diversity resources, Office of Affirmative
Action; N. William Hines, dean, College of Law; Dave Jackson, assistant to
the vice president, Facilities Services Group; Lee Vasquez, program consultant,
Business Services; and Janice Simmons-Welburn, director, Human Resources and
Processing Services, UI Libraries.
