Local student advises UI Liberal Arts Dean

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- (NAME) of (HOMETOWN) is a member of the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts Dean's Student Advisory Committee for the 2000-01 academic year. Linda Maxson, dean of the College of Liberal Arts, relies on the committee members to keep her informed of student concerns. The group meets with Maxson and the college's associate deans twice a semester to discuss a range of issues including instruction, degree requirements, advising, research opportunities, course availability and internship experiences.

Members of the 2000-01 Dean's Student Advisory Committee are listed below according to hometown, with Iowa hometowns listed first.

ALGONA

Alison Richards, a senior anthropology/pre-law major with a sociology minor; graduate of Algona High School; daughter of Stephen and Janice Richards of Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Greg Woods, a junior biology/pre-med major; graduate of North Linn High School; son of Thomas and Mary Woods

IOWA CITY

Erika Lord, a sophomore undeclared Liberal Arts major; graduate of Iowa City High; daughter of Michael and Elizabeth Lord
