UI student produces PATV program on Islam and Muslims

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Aman Aminzay, a first-year student in the UI College of Medicine, will produce a new program on Iowa City Public Access Television about Islam and Muslims. "Getting to Know Islam," is scheduled to air on PATV (Channel 2) Tuesdays from 3-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1-2 p.m. One new program will be shown each week.

Aminzay says the program will provide viewers with informative and entertaining programming covering various aspects of the faith of Islam. Upcoming programs include: Choosing Islam; Deeper Roots: Muslims in America Before Columbus; Book of Signs; Islam: a Solution to America's Social Problems; and Jesus in History & Faith.
