Fear of flying program offered at UI Family Care Center,
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa Family Care
Center, North Liberty, will offer classes to help people overcome the anxiety
associated with airline flying.
The fear of flying program, offered in conjunction
with UI Behavioral Health and the Iowa City Flying Service, is a six-week
course taught by Nancee Blum, a social work specialist in the UI Department
of Psychiatry. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays Oct. 6
to Nov. 10. The cost is $125. An optional graduation flight will be offered
for an additional $30.
