UI students participate in annual United Way fund drive
IOWA CITY-- University of Iowa students, in an effort
to contribute to the United Way's annual fund drive, will donate their refundable
pop cans to the United Way of Johnson County.
As a part of the UI's annual participation in the
fund drive, students will be able to donate their cans at three locations
throughout campus. From Sept. 13 through Oct. 11 can collection bins will
be located at Schaeffer Hall, ground floor; Van Allen hall, first floor vending
area; and Seashore Hall, ground floor vending area.
The United Way of Johnson County supports more than
40 health and human service agencies in Johnson County. The UI annually takes
part in the fall campaign for charitable giving with sponsorship by University
Communications and Outreach and KRUI-FM 89.7.
