UI offers Master of Social Work in Quad Cities; information session Oct. 6

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa School of Social Work is recruiting students for the Master of Social Work Program at its Quad Cities Center. The part-time, three-year program will begin August 2000, with applications due by Feb. 1, 2000.

With the exception of two prerequisite courses, students may complete the entire program in the Quad Cities Graduate Study Center located in Sorenson Hall, Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. Students register for an average of two courses each semester, including summers, and complete the degree in three years.

Some elective courses, offered throughout the three years, are open to non-degree seeking students who have already earned bachelor's degrees.

Anyone interested in learning more about the program should attend one of the monthly MSW Program Information sessions conducted by UI School of Social Work faculty and staff. Upcoming sessions will be held 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 6, Nov. 3 and Dec. 1, 1999 in Sorenson Hall, Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill.
