University Hospital School to host Art4All event Dec. 1

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa Hospital School will host an open house to display artwork created through the Art4All project from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the Labor Center, M210 Oakdale Hall on the UI Oakdale Research Campus. The artwork is available for sale and will be on display through March 2000.

The artwork was created by community leaders and University Hospital School patients as part of the Art4All program. Art4All at University Hospital School is an independently funded program that provides art-making opportunities for people with disabilities. The program includes annual workshops that bring people with disabilities and local community members together.

A collaborative piece of artwork will be created during the open house and will be displayed at Oakdale Hall at a later date.

University Hospital School is a part the UI Hospitals and Clinics and is a resource for people with disabilities, members of their families and the professionals with whom they work.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Elayne Sexsmith at (319) 356-0768 or via e-mail at elayne-sexsmith@uiowa.edu.
